Game#19 8-7-3 31 Points 6th Place

DING DING 2nd Round has started.

Basically the league has 2 rounds of 17 games each (each team plays each other twice).

So after the 1st game of round 2 being canceled and the 2nd game being moved to 11:30 Am on Sunday (a very bad time to start a game).

So surprisingly for the early game most of the players were on time, with boots and ready to go.

And it showed on the field.

The defense played great the whole game for the 1st time, the offense we were in 4-3-3 the whole game was aggressive and at half time I swapped out the 2 of 3 mid fielders so they were fresh and that was the new key that I learned. The midfielders, especially the middle one in 4-3-3 in the this league can't play the whole game at the paced needed. These are not professional players, they don't get paid and all pretty much play cause they love soccer and love playing in front of crowds but this is a professional league (3rd Division) and it really requires more money and dedication than just showing up on game day to really succeed. but all these players have lives, kids, jobs, no jobs but shit to do or some don't even live in the city. And since no one gets paid it is hard to be dedicated to the team when life calls.

Anyway, it was 3-0 WIN. Two goals scored off set pieces by the defensive players with their HEADS, 2 head ball goals, does that make us a smart team. I think it does. The other scored at the end by an offensive player.

Oh, and the other team got two yes two penalty kicks in the game, the keeper saved the first and the second hit the post. A pretty exciting game.

the top team in the league advices to the next league next year. We are 12 points out of 1st with 16 games left, I figured we have to win 14 of 17 games in round 2.

1 down 13 more to go.
