First day of Work & FIRST OFFICIAL PRACTICE

First day of work, the 8 to 4 schedule begins.

And at 5:00 held my first practice, ran some pretty basic drills and several of the players actually improved.

I have already noticed that African players have great feet skills and can do some really awesome moves but don't have a lot of the basic training, they have just learned how to play from playing on the dirt/rocky fields with wood goal posts. Did you know that in the absence of an actual soccer ball, kids will use grocery store plastic bags turned into ball to play with. By the way, soccer balls don't last very long here, they are just used way to much and kicked around in the worst conditions a ball could ever imagine it would be played with in.

Painted my bedroom by candle light. looking at the next morning not really a good idea, lots of touch ups to do.
