Reed Dance Holiday & building & painting

This day was a holiday here in Swaziland called the Umlhanga or Reed Dance, which celebrates all of the maidens in the country, they all get together in one place the estimated count was 60,000. I find it ironic that in the US we celebrate Valentine's Day with having sex or making love. Here they have been celebrating being a virgin since the beginning of there culture well before the US was even formed.

Got really creative and designed and built a kitchen shelving unit to hold the gas stove the PC gave me plus food supplies and a cutting of food space. Of coures, I had to paint it. My counterparts 7 year old son was a sawing & painting machine from start to finish about 3 hours. Never hire me for precision cause it is pretty much all unlevel but 100% perfect and functional, fast, cheap and exactly what I needed in my kitchen.

In the afternoon, actually coached the team. I made some line up changes at half time that hte players recognized as improving the field play. We tied 0-0 with a late goal disallowed because it was an indirect kick that went directly in the goal. (see the soccer rules for the difference). Again, they were tired at the end, although for some it was their second game in row.
