Social Center Part 1 (Community Meeting)

So after a great weekend in the tourist part of Swaziland, I came back for an early Sunday morning 8am community meeting regarding the Social Center. Since this big news was the center of the meeting I was given a chance to speak. I talked about how how this is a mix of community, Town Council and Peace Corps that will finish this Social Center.

It was basically just an announcement to the community.

But the official start of the project. So lots of meetings, quotes and talking have to happen before any actual real work gets done.

The goal of the project is to get the building as complete as possible by Jan 6th. That date is important cause it is the day my parents will be visiting and I am planning on having a Grand Opening party well they are here.

A big thank you goes out to Mom & Dad for helping raise the funds donated to the project. They spent many months since May guiding people to the PC website to donate.

Rest assured that money has been transferred to me over here and it will be spent make the Ward 4 Social Center complete.

At the meeting the project acquired a new nickname "Fixing the White Elephant", although the building is actual rhino grey. hahahahaha

Stay tuned to this blog for more including pictures. Which will be posted as the building progresses.

Thanks to all that donated.
