SSCS part 2

Ok, so I am just going to label this event and its stories by parts.

So here goes Part 2.

So after the last post it had been silence from MTN as they figured out what to do.

And on Monday morning,we got the call that they are sponsoring the event. E16,000 which is a big number over here and tons of other support including marketing, advertising and logistical support.

So today we went to the National Office and had a 6 hour meeting to go over all of it the National Director sat in for most of it.

Lots of logistical questions and a major step in bringing the AMICAALL team together to organize what I hope will be a great event. It will be getting lots of press news on the radio and papers.

The meeting felt like a script read through where it is struggle to keep everyone moving ahead and to keep focused on the numerous needs of the project at this early stage.

It is a big and complicated event that is really great idea and every so far has agreed. Now it is just up to us to organize it well and pull it off.

By running this event my AMICAALL office will reaching one of the hardest groups of HIV at risk groups in the country the 18-35 male. They generally don't attend the normal functions, have to work, play soccer and take care of their families and drink.

I believe my coaching status has been a partial positive influence in our relationship with the FA (Football Association) which other than MTN is a major sponsor.
