Weather Wimp

So it is Saturday Night post Car Wash.

And it is storming outside like mad, lighting, thunder, down pouring rain, power going in and out, heck even the running water is a different color than normal. Plus, crazy strong winds blowing shit around. A couple of things have hit my building with loud bangs.

I saw lighting like I hadn’t seen since my days living in Oklahoma, I left Sapulpa in 1991. Thunder literally rolling across the land one after another. I realized that even though it would rain hard once in awhile in LA like it is, it NEVER has lighting and thunder. In fact, even in Chicago & MI days I don’t remember seeing anything like what is going on outside right now. Although, I am probably just reliving childhood storm memories. But it really compares to Tornado Alley storms, but there are no tornadoes here.

By the way, it is the start of the rainy season which also marks the beginning of summer (the growing season) down here on the other side of world. And in 2010, I got winter, spring, summer, winter (the very end of it), spring, summer with no FALL.

Tomorrow’s soccer field will be interesting seeing that all fields are literally all dirt, which means with how much rain came down they will be mud.

Anyway, it’s quite an adventure living here.

  1. I remember those "dark and stormy nights" in OK - and rain coming down in buckets ...
