Mud out

So it has basically rained for a week. A couple of hard down pours and lots of lighting and thunder. The years of OK & Midwest living came back and I adjusted to the weather.

But since all of the soccer playing fields here are all dirt. The fields are literally mud and they have little drainage so there are puddles everywhere. So this weekend's games are canceled. We were supposed to play a very tough team, so we kind of dodged a bullet and have avoided are first loss.

Anyway, I spent the day reading, playing Sim City and more reading. Finished Neil Gaiman's Stardust (see the movie it is an excellent movie and great read). Also finished another book called Red Mars that I have been reading off and on for the last couple of weeks about colonization of Mars. An interesting but slightly boring at times read.

  1. You said you saw "Stardust" - did I see it, too? I don't remember ... just added it to my Netflix queue ... looks good.
