Ok, so the wait is over. The Nhlangano Town Council has completed there commitment to the Peace Corps Partnership Proposal.
YEAH. AWESOME. EXCITING.
This means two things we go back to work and the Social Center will pretty much completed before everyone (including myself) disappears during Christmas. Unlike in America everything pretty much shuts down here from around the Dec 16th til the new year. The Town Council, government office, lots of other things. So this is huge.
And the 2nd thing is when my parents arrive in Nhlangano on Jan 2nd the building will be complete. So as much as I would like for every one who contributed to be able to visit. I am especially lucky (God is showing great timing) that we will be having the Grand Opening party on January 5th. So stay tuned for that news in just about a month. And since they are major part of the fundraising many of the Swazi's here are very pleased and honored that Mom & Dad can be here. And so I am.
So tomorrow we go shopping for the best prices for the doors and windows..
I bet in 2 1/2 wks we are done. People even want to work on the weekend. So it is going to be back to very busy.
A special thanks goes out to the Councilor of my Ward, the councilor in charge of finances and the CEO of the city for approving and signing the check.
That was the last major hurtle.
