SSCS

SSCS or Shiselweni Soccer Charity Spectacular

This is next big even more massive idea that Sabelo, the big brain thinking, Youth Mentor in my office has come up with. Career Day with a Debate was also his idea. And he is lucky that I am great, thanks to years of film set work, with organizing cause his ideas are bigger than one man can handle.

Anyway, watch out in the future for more on this massive region wide event. We gave a very successful presentation to a sponsor that will probably fund the entire event.

It was an exciting and successful day.

By the way, the night before Vania, Ben and Taylor 3 Canadian students who have been here all winter (your summer) and I have hungout with a lot since they were the only other North Americans working in my town left and we had a small party at my place. I will miss them and it is interesting to see how people come here for a short time can make a difference but don't have the time to make long lasted difference. And I see the true beauty of the PC's design, stick us in a community for 2 years, teach us to learn what the community needs and then have the time to make it work.

Been here over a year now I fell like Round 2 is just starting.

DING, DING

  1. Hard to believe that you've been there more than a year ... lots of adventures, people, ideas and work. We're getting some more $$$ for the project. We continue to work on it from our end. Hey, the camping adventure sounds like a lot of fun. Any photos?
