Rain Out

So game 2 of 4 in 7 days was a rain out. The players were disappointed they wanted to play. And we did but only 12 minutes. It started raining hard, thunder, lighting everyone ran into the Khumbi's (mini buses) to wait it out. Well, the dirt field turned into a lake almost right away. Th refs called the game.

Since this was a rescheduled game in the first place, it will have to be rescheduled again.

In my opinion, this was the soccer Gods looking out for my team. They aren't near fit enough for 4 games in a week. And since everyone believes that the FA is scheduling us against the hard teams at hard times on purpose it only fits that it was rained out.

Easter weekend is a holiday day off of work Fri & Mon over here.

And so we play on Sat then Mon. The Mon game was scheduled for 1:30 and then moved to 9:00 AM again. My team hates playing so early. And of the game they reschedule to early is a team ranked above us.

I think America should do more 4 day weekend holidays. It really gives a person time off and the town was the busiest I have ever seen it. Everybody coming into town for the weekend before heading to their homes, many passing through. I sure do like it when it is busy, but strangly hates the lines in the stores. Since I never have to stand in line normally, I really hate it now.

  1. Yeah, fun when it's busy, but the inconvenience of lines ... oh well ... glad your team got some unexpected rest ... hope it pays off for the next game.
