Game #11 6-4-0 22 Points

Oh my.
So I arrive at the 2 hour pre-game normal time. No players. Now it is threating to rain and thunder can be heard coming. The rules say that if a team doesn’t show up they forfeit the game (see last weeks game for how this helped us). So I get the Manager on phone and tell him to get the player’s to the meeting spot.

About half hour later it is raining and a couple of players are there, I start hoping we get 8 so at least we play. Time to leave arrives and we leave with only 10 players.

We arrived at the game with 10 players. In the rain, the other team only has 9 players. I am joyous with relief to think that we are man down and still out number the other team.

I started the team in BTA but with a 432 and we score 2 goals in the first half, just as the half is closing the other team subs in 2 more late players. They are a full strength team just before half.

So I have to put my coaching hat on a do some real quickly thinking. We are outnumbered and winning. So I reverse the BTA and make the team play 441, they score one really good goal but the team holds off and wins.

We won the game with a man down and when we started the game a man up.

It was my most stressful game as coach.

But still undefeated.
