Game #2 2-2 & now 2 league pts

So I called the game a disappointing roller coaster.

We played great the best I have seen the team play. They controlled the ball, hit the post again, I keep joking that we hit the post so much that I am renaming the team The Black Posts and we got lots of good shots.

So they scored first on a keeper/defender mistake on are part. Then we got a one touch goal to even it up just before half. Then within 10 minutes of the beginning of the 2nd half, we scored on a beautiful bend it like Beckham shot from outside the box on a set piece kick. 2-1. So late in the 2nd half I made a substitution that I probably shouldn’t have. With less then 10 minutes left they scored the player I subbed in was out of position and they scored 2-2. Another draw.

No one is terribly happy about the Draw nor are they pissed. We were the better team and with some errors by us it would have been a better outcome. Anyway, another point. So that gives us 2 for the season and we are still undefeated.

Next week we play the best team that has already scored 8 goals in 2 games. It will be a good test.

  1. Ohh, it'll be a tough team to play, but another week's practice, and you might be ready ... I'm pulling for an upset!
