THE ORION RESORT

Made a solo trip to the Orion Resort, and American feel hotel, a welcome relief, emailed home, gambled, drank a great beer and downloaded GI Joe books, I love the internet. (By the way this was the first time since Atlanta that I had been on the internet and was paying by the minute.) (And I had only called home briefly once before to tell my parents I arrived safe)

I meet two high school aged girls who are working with Bosh AIDS Orphanage, bought them dinner and talked with them about the oprhanage they are apart of. Both had both parents killed by HIV and both got their school fees, uniforms & transpo paid for by the orphanage. It is isn't a boarding house type of orphanage, just financial and mental support. But girls are surprisingly intelligent.

This country is really in trouble with HIV but its govnerment is doing just about everything it can to help fight it, including free medicine, doctors visits, condoms, education programs and invites to many of the worlds health programs as well as major money donors
